Shipping Available for Live Tilapia fish,
Clean Whole Fresh Tilapia Fish On Ice & Complete Crop. When shipping live Tilapia fish several
things need to be taken into consideration. Two of those are seasonal
tempertures & expense if shipping over nite. Seasonal Temperatures
because of the need to keep Tilapia fish at a proper temperature, proper
ammonia levels & proper oxygen levels while in shipping. The
size of the Tilapia fish & Quantity need to be taken into the equation.
Order well ahead of time. Time is needed to figure best materials,
do the calculations & prepare shippment, working out any thing that
might come up. Tilapia fish are removed from feeding to purge before
shipping live & recomended 4-5 days before harvesting.
There is a handling fee
for shipping live tilapia fish which can be up to $50.00 per container.
Depending on size of shipment it is $50 for the first insulated shipping
container & for every one after - discounted. When shipping
live tilapia fish we use a styrofoam cooler (keeps warm or cool) that
specially fits within a corrugated box. Container expense can vary
depending on size of order, size of insulated cooler/box needed, how many
gel cool pads or heat packs it will take, etc. to arrive on a given day.
Someone must be available to receive live shipment.

fresh Tilapia fish are sold, "Whole As Is" - Customer processes fish completely.
- Whole
Fresh Tilapia fish are sold, "Whole Fresh Cleaned (gutted-de-scaled) on ice".
Using gel packs - heat packs - dry ice combo to keep container at a
determined temperature for a period of time. Usually Whole Fresh Farmed
Tilapia Fish Are (if not delivered fresh) Shipped Frozen 2 day air.
